Fractured Valor has officially hit the virtual and real-life shelves, and I couldnāt be more excited as reviews roll in!
Featuring a scientist who doesn’t want a protector, a bodyguard whoās used to much riskier assignments, and unexpected chemistry that’s as dangerous as the enemies hunting them… Fractured Valor contains some of romance-lovers beloved tropes:
š„ Enemies-to-lovers
š» Forced Proximity
š£ Hilarious Banter
š¶ Spice
š Action & suspense
& A hard-earned happy-ever-after.
In all my books, you’ll find strong female protagonists, fiercely loyal men (of the morally-gray variety), and finding love in a dark hour.
Iām really excited to rep strong women in STEM in my novels, because not every heroine is an archer in the woods or a dragon-riderāquiet intellect is just as impactful and powerful. So, whether you pick up my books for the passion, the power, the plot, or the escape, I truly hope they deliver just what youāre looking for, right when you need it!
Speaking of impactful, Iād like to take a moment to thank everyone who came out to support the launch of Fractured Valor at Nasketucket Bay Vineyard with Just a Taste Books, LLC. This book, sign, & wine event was truly a blast and unforgettable in every way!
Meeting my beautiful readers is a dream, but getting to spend an evening playing bookish games while signing, wining, and dining with everyone? Bliss!
These are the moments that make every late night at the keyboard and every early morning worth it. From my heart, truly: thank you for supporting, reading, sharing, and being on this journey with me.
I often say I wish Iād started my author career 20 years earlier, but the universe always delivers in the right season.
Believe it or not, Iāve scaled back on events this year (though Iām still managing one per month or so) as Iām working on a huge writing project (moody gothic romance, anyone?). I am so excited to share more about this as I near completion. My goal is to pitch the project to agents this time around.
For those who know about the agent query process, this is a long and arduous road with no guarantees, but my dear readers, you can help! By reading my current novels, leaving reviews, and engaging on socials, it really helps boost my readership and visibilityāand both are highly valuable when trying to engage an agent!
I’d like to share two special moments from recent events (yesāI indeed survived the public speaking event at Once Upon A Bookstore), but in addition to surviving public speaking, I was told something really touching.
A reader told me that she āstayed up all night to read Periphery, and I haven’t done that since the release of Twilight!ā This hit me in the heart because, friends, I must admit, Twilight got me back into reading many years ago after a long hiatus. It is one of those books that reignited the spark in me, so to have my writing bring that feeling to someone else means the absolute world to me.
The second special moment? You all sold me out at Barnes and Noble, Warwick, RI! It’s no secret I have a bit of social anxiety. And honestly? Iām pretty new at all of this. I didnāt expect a line to form or people to know the name AA DaSilva. But yaāll showed up in FORCE and took a chance on me and my books.
You, my amazing readers, keep the fire of motivation in my heart alive and thriving. In those dark, quiet nights of writing there are no fans cheering, no pre-payments, no guarantee that my writing will resonate with anyoneājust me and this silly dream. But in these unexpected moments at events where I get to meet readers who are excited to read (or have already read) my work, or when Iām tagged in a review or pic or video, or when I see a quiet, anonymous starred review on Amazonā¦it keeps my fire burning. Thanks for being my stars while wandering through the dark.

I have had to wiggle outside of my comfort zone quite a bit these last two years. Writing, pitching my publisher, and bringing three books to market in two years was the easy part. Learning how to do all the other stuff (read: marketing) is a bit of a challenge, but I have stories to tell. I have hearts to break and mend and characters who must triumph over impossible odds.
Fiction may seem like a guilty pleasure, but itās my firm belief that stories can inspire, heal, offer an escape, spark ideas, and show that even the most unassuming person can evoke change.
Now, more than ever, the world needs books and art that inspire, empower, and allow us to feel.
This, friends, is what I am striving to do. Itās a calling from my soul, and this fire is burning bright. Thanks for being here and fanning those flames.
Read on, friends.
